About Me
I am Joseph William Perry. I live in Tennessee, just outside of Davidson County. On the web my home page is at JosephPerry.net.

I do different things to make a living. Whenever I am called I go to work at Measurement, Incorporated in Nashville. It is project work which means we work when there’s a project. When there’s no project going we don’t work. We score standardized tests for the school systems of different states. It’s “teejus” but we get respect. I’ve been doing it for five seasons (or is it six?).
I have been working on old houses for about thirty years. That’s a hobby with which we can make money. Unfortunately the only way to get the money is to sell the house, which means we have to move.
The other thing I do is web work, which doesn’t bring in very much money. Just about enough to cover expenses (if you don’t count our cable internet bill). I do sites for other people and sites for myself. My latest is a site that mixes the web work with the old house work. OldTennesseeHouse.com is where I am writing our old house stories, plus lots of parallel stories that come into play while telling the house stuff. It’s not just about house restoration; it’s about life.
